Year 6 Leavers
At North Cerney we like to say a 'proper' goodbye to our year 6 pupils. Over the years a number of traditions have developed:-
The pupils present the school with a gift. This year, inspired by the work they had done with the Big Art Project, they presented the school with a mosaic of the school logo, to which they had added their names - as if we could forget them!!
We take lots of photos of them to use in future years |
Rev Peter Quinnell presents inscribed bibles to each pupil and wishes them well for the future
|
And, on the last day of term there is a water fight. This involves the year 6 and members of staff (including Mrs Goodrich) facing up to each other with water pistols, buckets, sponges and anything else they can lay their hands on.
The photos.........ah this is an event that goes unrecorded by the camera and will live on only in the memories of those who took part.
To them all - goodbye, best wishes and we will miss you.
