School Visit to Daglingworth Quarry
The school were lucky to be invited to visit Daglingworth Quarry. This is a large working quarry providing limestone to the building industry. The children got to walk through the quarry (all wearing their saftey equipment), see the large stones being broken with a steel ball and the finished gravel and stone.
Our thanks go to everyone at the quarry for an interesting and informative visit and to all the parents who came along to help - lots of Dads volunteered to come along, can't think why!!
