School Lunches - An Update

|
The school lunches continue to be popular with most of the children now having them. The menus have been changed to reflect the seasons and to take into account the feedback we had before Christmas. With the cooperation of parents and pupils we now have a very good control over quantity and quality and have reduced the amount of food wasted.
There has already been a marked positive difference in the children's approach to learning in the afternoon. It is particularly noticeable in children who now eat a more substantial hot meal.
The children have been very accommodating and have risen to the challenge of trying different foods and eating enviroments. It is particularly pleasing that members of staff now join the children in this 'new dining' experience.
We now have regular 'guest' lunches when parents, members of the community and friends join us for lunch.
The school also has a wonderful smell most mornings as the freshly baked bread comes out of the breadmaker bought for us by the NCSA
