Our new website - developing with our children

Operation Christmas Child

This year we have been supporting Operation Christmas Child, which is run by a charity that send out shoeboxes to poor and war torn countries. Our aim was to fill as many shoe boxes as we could. Each week we asked for donations of various items. They didn't have to be new, but must be in excellent condition.
We provided the shoeboxes, and the items were collected together and shared out among the boxes. The children got the chance to cover the boxes at school and were really involved. More info can be found at www.samaritanspurse.uk.com

15 November
We have now stopped collecting and want to thank you all for the brilliant response we have had. Over the past 10 weeks we have received

- pencils, rubbers, sharpeners and rulers
- soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and flannels
- Small toys, puzzels, dolls, teddies, hair bits and pieces

- Notebooks, drawing books, pads of paper and Christmas Cards

- More colouring pencils and crayons

- Biros, sharpeners and small rulers

- Flannels and

- Toys for girls
- Small packets of sweets

All the shoeboxes have been wrapped in Christmas paper and will be sent to the Samaritans for distribution to children in poor and war torn countries.

THANK YOU
