Nature In Art

We have been learning about our local community. Our school is a large part of our community and we used our school enviroment to help us with our art sculpture work.

We went up to our large playing fields to sketch flowers, trees, branches and bark. Then we used our sketches to help us to create small sculptures of one of our drawings. We used scrap materials and I used art straws, pipe cleaners, make-up sponges, plastic tubes and tissue paper to create my bluebell.

We are going to see a sculpture exhibition soon and I can't wait to see how everyday things are used by professionals.
