A reminder of what we do

 

We raise money to provide the school with the extras to improve our children’s education and we organise events to bring parents, teachers and children together both in and out of school.

In the last 12 months we have provided extra books for the library, Easter eggs, the summer BBQ, children’s discos and theatre tickets. We have also paid for the transport for school trips, which has avoided the need for parents to contribute and therefore made sure the trips were open to every child.

The funds that we currently have are earmarked for some storage sheds, high visibility jackets and eggs for the Easter Hunt.

For the rest of the year we are raising money for this year’s Summer BBQ and a special project to provide a co-ordinated sports strip. To do this we will be holding a number of fund raising events like Skittles Evening, raffles, DVD nights and breakfast weeks. We are also actively looking for a sponsor to donate the funds for the sports strip and will gratefully accept donations – it is a challenging target we have set ourselves!!

We are currently a rather small group of mums and really need more volunteers to help organise the events and bring fresh ideas to our group. Meetings are currently held straight after school at least once every term and the children enjoy playing together while we are talking and planning.
