10 Feb 2006 - National Healthy School Status

The Healthy Schools programme is a whole school approach to the provision of personal development and well-being for children, young people and the wider school community. There are designated national criteria which support the five outcomes of Every Child Matters and the school self-evaluation and inspection process. All schools are encouraged to work towards and become validated as Healthy Schools. The government requires half of the county's schools to be designated as Healthy Schools by December 2006 with all schools becoming Healthy Schools by 2009.
We are proud to have achieved this new status. Gloucester County Council were particularly impressed with:

: All the progress made to improve the provision of food to the children in school
