Pop Lacrosse

North Cerney’s lacrosse team enjoyed a fantastic morning at Rendcomb College’s annual tournament. Although the cold wind blew, the sun was out for our enthusiastic players and our attitude of playing for fun and enjoyment was also shining!

The team consisted of Toby, Callum, Matthew, Daniel, Ayla, Natasha and Bethany. We managed to score in every match despite the opposition being tougher than we have ever experienced. There were some excellent defensive moves made by Bethany, Matthew and Toby and Callum displayed excellent attacking runs and shots. It was a fantastic learning experience and we look forward to next year’s event when with more training and improved skills we will be more than able to match the opposition.

Special thanks to the team who never gave up and made me proud to be part of a school with real sportsmanship and also to the parents and supporters for all their enthusiasm.
